Thanks to your feedback1, we’re implementing changes that reflect what matters most to our users. Here’s what’s coming next.
Starting with the next release, our stubs will officially drop support for Windows versions earlier than 10 (both client and server). This change streamlines our development process and eliminates the need to test updates on legacy systems like Windows 7 and 8.1.
While this may impact WOW64 processes on older Windows versions, 64-bit infected binaries are expected to continue functioning. However, we will no longer allocate time to validate their behaviour on deprecated platforms.
As Windows OS and EDR technologies continue to evolve, the broader security ecosystem is also phasing out support for outdated Windows versions. Aligning with this trend allows us to focus on modern environments and deliver more efficient, forward-looking solutions.
